This presentation is a wholistic approach to the standard positioning, uses, and deployment of aerial devices at most standard structural type fires. It covers not only manufacturers' recommendations but also industry best practices. Case studies of line-of-duty deaths involving aerial devices will also be discussed. Novice and experienced firefighters and officers can put aerial fireground operations into an extremely easy to use system that can be applied to all structural responses. The application of this system helps to not only build the muscle memory that is so important to firefighters but also help to elevate the operational tempo of the fireground.
