This course will guide the participants through the difficult process of specifying fire apparatus. Covered will be justification; use of National Fire Protection Association 1901, Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus, including upcoming changes; conducting successful preconstruction conferences; the methods of performing a thorough final factory inspection; and delivery and acceptance of your new apparatus. Students will receive sample specifications that can be adjusted for use in their departments.
