Building the "Aggressive" Fire Company

Monday, April 24
We all want to be part of an aggressive fire company but often wonder, 'How do we get there?' This workshop takes a hard look at what it takes to be an "aggressive" fire company in today's fire service. It focuses on fundamental training and drilling to improve skill sets and build muscle memory, recognizing the changes of today's fire environment, determining essential fireground functions as well as the implementation of standard operating guidelines as the playbook for operating on the fire scene, setting our apparatus up for success, and building a culture of positive morale and work ethic so everyone wants to be part of the team. These foundational components are the keys to creating an aggressive fire company. Students will leave with clear direction and tools to improve their company and enhance their operations on their next working fire.
