Building Comprehension for the Fire Service

Tuesday, April 25
This course presents a thought-provoking connection between building construction and fire service operations and tactics. This unique training opportunity delivers practical and relevant information relating to single-family and multi-family properties and introduces in-depth methods for applying content to response scenes. This is a no-nonsense approach that extends beyond a study of building construction or a simple connection to fireground tactics. This course will teach attendees quick response size-up--how to look for, anticipate, prepare, and execute within a building type before entering any structure. It will improve firefighter situational awareness, responder safety, lead outs, search and ventilation maneuvers, and suppression times.
