The engine company is the backbone of all fireground operations. The firefighters and officers on the hoselines get the glory, but the pump operator must be on his game to ensure that the interior crews have the water they need to extinguish the fire. This all begins with the receiving of the alarm. Routes of travel, positioning, charging lines (properly), establishing a supply, and being able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise are all critical skills the pmp operator must be proficient at. This class will identify best practices, common mistakes made, and how to overcome them.'
