This workshop gives newly promoted company officers the leadership skills and confidence to manage their company when responding to alarms; when operating at roadway incidents; and when their company is first to arrive at fires in private and multiple dwellings, commercial occupancies, and vacant and abandoned buildings. Participants will learn that as newly-promoted company officers, they must accept the reality that they will not effect a wholesale change to the culture of their fire department--at least not in the short term. This class will help company officers prioritize what is most important and what they can control--matters that directly affect the safety of their company.
