DR. TIM COBURN, The University of Tulsa
Dr. Tim Coburn is Director of the School of Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce within the Collins College of Business at The University of Tulsa. He is also responsible for the Master of Energy Business (MEB) program, serving as its Director, along with an academic assignment as Professor of Energy and Operations Management. Prior to his tenure at The University of Tulsa, Dr. Coburn held the Mesa Petroleum Professorship in Statistics and Management Science at Abilene Christian University, where he also served in various administrative and management roles. Dr. Coburn has a long history of involvement in the energy industry. He previously worked for Phillips Petroleum (Bartlesville, Denver, Seattle), Marathon Oil (Denver, Houston), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (Golden Colorado); and he also completed professional internships/sabbaticals and related work assignments in the mathematical geology group of the Kansas Geological Survey, the eastern energy division of the US Geological Survey, and the energy and environmental resources group at Sandia National Laboratory, and the Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver. Dr. Coburn’s career includes managerial, operational, and technical assignments in the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, as well as in alternative fuels and renewable energy. He has served as an industry consultant for many years and is actively engaged in a number of industry professional organizations.
ERIC C. FARQUE, Control Devices Inc. (CDI)
Eric C. Farque is VP of Sales and Owner of Control Devices Inc. (CDI) in Broken Arrow, OK. CDI is a family owned and operated pipeline pig tracking and communications equipment business established in 1982. In his role he directs a sales team and global distributors in the sale and rental of pigging equipment appropriate for any area of the world whether it be onshore, offshore or subsea. He serves as Director of the Pigging Products and Services Association (PPSA). In 2015 CDI was awarded Excellence in Exporting by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. He attended the University of Oklahoma.
JASON A. FARQUE, Control Devices Inc. (CDI)
Jason A. Farque is VP of Research & Development and Owner of Control Devices Inc. (CDI) in Broken Arrow, OK. CDI is a family owned and operated pipeline pig tracking and communications equipment business established in 1982. In his role he conceptualizes, designs and develops new pipeline pig location, tracking and passage detection products. In 2015 he presented a paper at the Pigging Products and Services Association (PPSA) Seminar in Aberdeen, Scotland: Digital Offshore Acoustic Pig Tracking with Multipath Robustness. In 2015 CDI was awarded Excellence in Exporting by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. He attended the University of Arkansas.
STEPHEN MISKA, T.D. Williamson
Stephen Miska has been with T.D. Williamson, Inc. for eight years, during which time he has held various roles in the Pigging Technology department. His responsibilities have ranged from product engineering design, project management, sales training and global applications support. He has led the development and commercialization of various pipeline pigging products and services, and is currently leading product management activities for the technology group. Prior to joining T.D. Williamson, Miska graduated with B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Tulsa, and completed a research thesis with the TU Erosion/Corrosion Research Center. Miska is a registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma, active in American Gas Association technical committees, member of NACE, and serves on the Community Relations Board at T.D.Williamson.
DR. SUSAN NASH, American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)
Dr. Susan Nash is Director of Education and Professional Developoment at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). She is a diversified professional with a proven track record in developing and managing financially successful programs (education, professional development, petroleum/minerals exploration, economic development). Nash received her B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. She has been an adjunct professort at OU since 1994, focusing on a wide array of curricula and course development initiatives in e-learning and mobile learning. Nash was formerly with Victoria Resources, Kerr-McGee Corporation and Diamond Shamrock/Valley Exploration. She is also formerly the Director of the Pipeline Corrosion Control School at the University of Oklahoma.

As a seasoned energy industry executive and business entrepreneur, Scott is well known for his leadership and managerial experience and is highly sought after as a consultant in the broad areas of organizational efficiency/agility, safety, and technology across the global energy complex. Bill Solomon is President and CEO of Vacuworx, LLC, in Tulsa, OK. His 30 years of experience in sales and marketing provides expertise in both national and international marketplaces. In 1999, Solomon started Vacuworx, the global leader in manufacturing and sales of self-contained vacuum lifting equipment for heavy-duty material handling industries. He founded The Pipeline and Energy Expo in 2009 (formerly Tulsa Pipeline Expo), which is focused on stimulating economic growth in Oklahoma by showcasing energy, pipeline and utility businesses. The following year, Bill founded Eagle Gift Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community needs in Oklahoma. Solomon is a graduate from the University of Colorado and holds certificates of achievements from Duke University, Northwestern University, Babson College, Harvard University, and the University of Tulsa. He serves as a member of the board for Tulsa Boys Home, A New Leaf, and the State Chamber of Oklahoma. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations such as the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce, ACPA (American Concrete Pipe Association), APCA (American Pipeline Contractors Association), DCA (Distribution Contractors Association), IPLOCA (International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association) and PLCA (Pipe Line Contractors Association).

Joining OGJ in 1982, he has served as Associate Technical Editor, Pipeline Editor, and Gas Processing Editor with coverage responsibility for LNG. He also served as editor of OGJ’s quarterly LNG Observer 2004-07. Previously, he served as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston, main and Clear Lake campuses; editorial coordinator for Hydril Co.; manager for hospital information at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston; assistant professor of technical and professional writing at Texas Tech University, Lubbock; and assistant professor of English at Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Tex. He holds three university degrees in English including a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
Ed Wiegele is Senior Vice President, Pipeline & Facilities Services Sector Director, has more than 30 years of experience in pipeline engineering, project management, operations and business development, providing technical services to the pipeline industry. Ed joined TRC in 2015. In this role, he is responsible for managing TRC’s national Pipeline & Facilities Services Sector, which represents approximately 28% of TRC businesses. The integrated end-to-end solutions provided by Ed’s group to oil and gas customers complements TRC’s established environmental front-end solutions to provide customers with a “one-stop-shop” for full life-cycle services. In addition to providing leadership and setting strategic direction for the Sector, Ed participates with members of the TRC Executive Team to formulate and implement a strategy of profitable growth and Sustainability for TRC as a whole. Ed also has extensive experience in energy infrastructure development, GIS technologies, integrity management and technology implementation. Ed earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. Ed participates in many oil and gas industry organizations.
