2020 Cancellation FAQs

Thank you for completing your selection on your registration for FDIC International 2020, we will be working on issuing refunds and rollovers as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, check out our FAQ’s below or contact us at fdic@clarionevents.com.

Why was the decision made to cancel FDIC International 2020 and not reschedule it to the fall?

Delivering FDIC International in its traditional form and to its full commitment (35,000+ Fire Rescue professionals, 85+ hands-on-training evolutions, 300+ conference sessions and 800+ exhibits) is not possible.

We have been putting the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers, partners, family and friends above all other priorities and those values remain most important to us. In light of both governmental direction and general public health advisories a face-to-face event is not possible at this time with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the government issued Public Health Emergency throughout the State of Indiana.

I was registered for FDIC International 2020 what will happen to my registration?

If you were registered for FDIC International 2020, you would have received an email from us outlining your three options for taking action on your FDIC 2020 registration. If you did not receive this email please contact us at FDIC@clarionevents.com.

When will the next edition of FDIC International take place /  What are the dates and location of FDIC International 2021?

April 19-24, 2021 at the Indianapolis Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

What can I expect to be different at FDIC International 2021?

Clarion Events, along with Clarion’s Fire and Rescue team are continuing to closely following the latest public health and government advice with regard to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and are carefully adhering to their directions. At this point it is nearly impossible to predict the status of the pandemic in April 2021, however, the team will be putting in place a number of new health and safety procedures working with our travel partners, hotels, venue and the city of Indianapolis. As we move closer to the event and know more we will communicate with our audience all of the new health and safety precautions we will be taking.  

I had booked my hotel through FDIC International’s preferred housing vendor Connections – what will happen to my FDIC International 2020 hotel room?

For those of you who booked your hotel rooms through the FDIC official housing vendor, Connections Housing, you should have received a communication on March 12, 2020 confirming that your hotel rooms had been cancelled at no cost to you. If you did not receive the communication or have further questions, please give Connections Housing a call at 855-476-6976 or email fdic@connectionshousing.com.

My company was exhibiting at FDIC International 2020, what are our options moving forward?

If you were signed up to exhibit at FDIC International 2020 you should have received a call from your account manager. If you did not or you have additional questions please reach out to them:

I heard FDIC International was running an event in September 2020, United Fire Conference, where can I find out more information?

During our extensive outreach and conversations with the fire service community there was an overwhelming desire expressed by firefighters to come together in the fall to celebrate the unity of the fire service, learn and support ongoing efforts in serving their communities and continue training.  As a result of this we have decided to launch a new event, United Fire Conference, that will take place September 22-24, 2020 at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis.

The absolute priority is to safeguard the health and welfare of all those involved in our events and to provide them with the critical, lifesaving content and training they have requested. If we are not able to hold United Fire Conference in September, then we will still find an alternative way to offer this critical content digitally. When will registration packages and prices be available for FDIC International 2021?

Registration information for FDIC International 2021 will be available the early August 2020. As we get close to that time we will confirm an exact date.

When will I be able to reserve my hotel room for FDIC International 2021?

Attendees who rolled over their 2020 registration to FDIC 2021 and Exhibitors who have a booth space for FDIC 2021 will receive priority access in early September 2020.
