Matt Shronts is a 24-year fire service veteran who has served in combination departments across Illinois and currently holds the rank of Deputy Fire Chief with the South Chicago Heights Fire Department. Throughout his career, he has championed the use of technology to enhance training, readiness, and operational performance. As a Senior Solutions Engineer and subject matter expert at Vector Solutions, Matt helps agencies integrate innovative tools that drive transformation in the modern fire service. He is a Chief Fire Officer credentialed by the Center for Public Safety Excellence and holds a master’s degree in Public Safety Administration from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale.
