Addressing Trauma Head On with Teleflex
This hands-on training program offers a review of clinical research and case studies relating to vascular access, bleeding control, and atomization. This education reviews vascular access options for patients with both urgent and emergent access needs. Attendees will be provided with training on intraosseous (IO) vascular access, hemostatic dressing utilization techniques, pelvic stabilization, and nasal atomization. In addition, a review of these procedures in a realistic scenario setting will be completed to increase provider confidence in both clinical decision making and hands-on skills.
Course Objectives
- Review research and evidence-based practice outcomes related to IO vascular access, hemostatic dressings, pelvic stabilization, and nasal atomization.
- Verbalize indications and contraindications for products reviewed.
- Review relevant anatomy and use of pelvic stabilization device.
- Review relevant anatomy and use of nasal atomization device.
- Demonstrate safe and effective use of IO access and hemostatic dressings
