Battle of the BVMs: Ventilation Under Pressure
Battle of the BVMs is a hands-on, simulation-driven experience designed to challenge how providers think about ventilation in cardiac arrest. Participants will rotate through multiple stations, testing a range of bag-valve-mask devices and mechanical ventilators in realistic resuscitation scenarios.
Using real-time feedback on tidal volume, rate, and consistency, participants will see firsthand the gap between perceived and actual performance. The experience highlights how device design, technique, and stress impact ventilation—and how easily over- or under-ventilation can occur without objective measurement.
Set in a dynamic, field-based environment, this activation moves beyond demonstration and into performance, allowing attendees to compare tools, refine technique, and better understand what it takes to deliver effective ventilation when it matters most.
