Big Box Fires = Big Groundscraper Problems
This class will begin with some exercises that will allow the students to develop commercial building fire risk identification, comprehension, and prediction skills. Then it will discuss building and occupancy types and determine the rescue profile in each, fire protection systems that might be encountered, how to successfully use these systems, and the importance of not relying on them. We will review each commercial building tactical assignment, make recommendations on how to operate more efficiently in these buildings, review a recent near miss and LODD, and identify what went wrong and how to prevent a similar occurrence back home.
