On September 11, 2001, the response of the FDNY to the World Trade Center was unprecedented in scale and scope. More than 200 fire units responded – more than half of all the units in New York City. Join retired firefighter and 9/11 survivor Tim Brown as he recounts his own response to the World Trade Center that morning. On 9/11, Tim was detailed to the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management to help facilitate inter-agency cooperation during a major emergency. You will hear Tim’s incredible story of response, survival, and healing as he continues to honor the legacy of the 343 firefighters who died in the attacks.
