Fire Academy to the Fire Floor: Why the Disconnect?

Tuesday, April 21
Room 134
Confronting a longstanding challenge that has plagued the American fire service for decades, the outdated notion that you'll learn that in the firehouse has left young, motivated firefighters unprepared for the demands of the job. Regrettably, not all firefighters have the opportunity to join an organization that fosters a strong sense of pride, tradition, and comprehensive training. This class seeks to address this gap for lost firefighters seeking guidance and for the senior firefighters rekindling their passion for the job. We will cover the entire spectrum of a firefighters career, from the academy to the first fire and every subsequent fire after. By connecting the dots, this class will provide valuable insights and practical training to empower you to succeed in your career as a firefighter.
