Fireground Strategies: Strategic Level Size-Up
This class covers size-up from the strategic point of view with a heavy emphasis on prefire street intelligence and the understanding of the exponential factor as it applies to our knowledge of our buildings and the attendant challenges found and forecasted. We will address the use of technology to enhance our intelligence both before and during an incident. We will also analyze how our understanding of the exponential factor both present and imagined will keep us on top of the potenital, in essence, allowing the strategic fire operator to use strategic size-up as a diagnostic tool to deconstruct, intervene, outwit, and tame the exponential factor.
