Lithium-Ion Battery Fires from the Streets to Inside Structures
Participants will gain a deep understanding of the causes behind thermal runaway in lithium-ion battery fires. Through real-time video demonstrations and case studies, attendees will observe the fire behavior of these incidents firsthand, exploring risks related to electric vehicles on the road, garage fires, and interior structure fires involving e-bikes, scooters, and other lithium-powered devices. This session is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and strategies required to safely and effectively manage these high-risk situations, minimize the potential for injury, and prevent fire spread to surrounding areas. It will conclude with a discussion on how to apply the lessons learned to strengthen and refine organizational policies and procedures.
