Preparing for a Line-of-Duty Death-Behavioral Health

Friday, April 24
How do you plan and prepare for the most horrible event imaginable? How do organizations act when faced with what can often be a crippling organizational event? Brainstorm and discuss the relationships and networks that need to be established before tragedy strikes, guidance on immediate steps to support surviving members and families, the ceremony, the incident review, and championing positive change in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds from a behavioral health standpoint. The class emphasizes self-care and follow-up efforts for all those involved in "responding" to our own and our families.
