To carefully evaluate a situation, we must understand that size-up starts long before any response and requires a much deeper understanding of our personnel, our response matrix, apparatus, districts, current and future conditions, and most importantly ourselves. This class provides a framework and a system to rapidly and successfully size up even the most complex situations. It will also provide a basis for initial company tactics based on best practices, while considering staffing and experience.
