This class focuses on four rescues as well as a firsthand account evaluating what worked and what did not work from a company officer and battalion chief perspective. Topics include tactics and strategies for success, command lessons that are applicable to any battalion level commander, and how our firehouse culture and preparation play into a successful outcome in emergencies. These incidents were not successful because of luck; they were successful because of a culture of proactive training and preparation. This class will improve your performance on the fireground and leadership in the firehouse from a suburban, minimum-staffed fire department perspective.
