This presentation is a wholistic approach to the standard positioning, uses, and deployment of aerial devices at most standard structural fires. It covers manufacturers’ recommendations, industry best practices, and case studies that involved line-of-duty deaths related to the use of aerial devices. This class will help novice and experienced firefighters and officers put aerial fireground operations into an extremely easy-to-use system that can be applied to all structural responses. The application of this system not only helps to build the muscle memory that is so important to firefighters but will help to elevate the operational tempo of the fireground, which is crucial for gaining the initiative at fires.
