Monday, April 15
Precon Workshop
Construction

Arriving companies at today’s structure fires must be able to rapidly and accurately identify key elements of a building, process that data based on a widening field of variables present on today’s evolving fireground, and implement timely actions that address prioritized actions requiring intervention. This program will present tactical risks and key building-occupancy considerations for the first-due company, company officer, and commander affecting and influencing operational risk management; command and tactical safety; and tactical protocols based on occupancy risks, reading the building, and adaptive management principles. The program will cover large-areas residential, small-footprint commercial and hybrid occupancies, adaptive reutilized Type III buildings, mass-timber building complexes, and rowhouses.
