Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Response

Incidents involving electric and hybrid vehicles are on the rise as use of technology continues to evolve. This course is designed to prepare students in taking the correct actions and avoiding common mistakes while handling the unique hazards present at these incidents. Using various teaching stations, students will rotate through access and patient care, vehicle rescue assignments, extrication challenges, components and energy source identification and control, and best practice firefighting operations. 

PPE Required: Lightweight rescue gear or jumpsuit, helmet, gloves, safety toe boots, eye protection, or structural fire gear.
