H.O.S.E.: Hoisting-Operating-Stretching-Estimating

Join nationally known and experenced fire instructors for this class incorporating both best past practices and modern research resulting in advanced engine skills. Students will rotate through stations where they will practice and gain knowledge and confidence and learn techniques in stretching and estimating the hose length needed for rope, well hole, standpipe, and backstep stretches. Also covered are flowing while advancing, water mapping, and interior hose stretches and attack.

PPE Required: NFPA-compliant structural firefighting pants, coat, hood, gloves, boots, and helmet.
