Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics: Understanding Data

This class will provide an overview of data analysis and use of data by fire and emergency services organizations.  Participants will be informed of basic and advanced concepts from a managerial perspective. The class will make attendees aware of trends and best practices; understand challenges of data quality and need to know the “where and how” of their data; and  know how to interact with data analysts inside and outside their organizations to effectively use data for making decisions.
