Nozzlemanship and Line Boss Leadership for Today's Engine Company

Monday, April 15
HOT Workshop
Firefighting

Nozzlemanship is a skill just like leadership. Both can be developed through mentorship and practice. Today’s engine companies are pressure cookers for effective tactical delivery based on sound leadership. Together we can hash out what makes firefighters excellent at nozzlemanship and engine company officers sharp and decisive on the fireground. This new class will combine both classroom lecture and hands-on training with the lines outside. Learn tactical tips and practice nozzle operations, hose movement along with line boss communications, positioning, and situational awareness.

PPE Required: Lightweight rescue gear or jumpsuit, helmet, gloves, safety toe boots, eye protection, or structural fire gear.

Speakers
Ray McCormack, Lt retired - FDNY
