The emotion and rhetoric regarding PFAS in our bunker gear, how it gets there, and what it does to the firefighter have been in the news, in publications, and all over social media. Following a single initial study, information was spread far and wide, sometimes misleading and false. Since then, more work and research have been done. Studies have been completed and the science will negate any more fear mongering and misinformation. While this information is "public," the word is not reaching the rank-and-file or decision makers.
