It's a privilege and honor to train new officers in a variety of ranks and disciplines. It is a privilege because it gives us all a chance to share, learn, and gain insight into the many components of successful fire officers and command. The prevailing question on their minds has always been: “What does that person look and sound like? How do I know when I know? How do I become what I am not? How do I overcome Imposter Syndrome?
