Big Box, Big Problem (34MP)

This class will begin with some exercises that will allow the students to develop commercial building fire risk identification, comprehension, and prediction skills.  Then we will discuss the different building and occupancy types and determine the rescue profile in each.  We will take an in-depth look at fire protection systems that might be encountered, how to successfully utilize these systems, and stress how unrelyable they are.  We will review every tactical fireground assignment and make recommeddations on how to opperate more efficiently in large commercial buildings. Wrapping up, we will review some near miss and LODD case studies to identify the reoccouring factors that contribute to the situation. This program is full of pictures and videos of fires, near misses, and unique buildings.
