Creating an Immersive Simulation Training for EMS Providers

This workshop will guide the students through the development and implementation of an immersive simulation for EMS care of a patient.  We will create scenarios using a formal structure to ensure training is safe and educational.  The scenarios we build will be modular to ensure all levels of EMS scopes of practice will benefit.  Each student will receive templates to take back to their own departments to develop additional training scenarios.  Additional resourses will also be included to streamline the student's development and implementation of immersive realistic sceanarios that allows the crews an opportunity to feel like this is a real EMS call.  At the end of each scenario we will provide a process to debrief the students for improved performance in the simulation lab as well as on real runs to reflect on the patient care provided.
