Conference Program
Flash over training offers firefighters the opportunity to observe fire behavior and the signs the lead up to a flashover. Fire fighter will understand how fuel loads have changed fire ground strategy and tactics. Live fire training will be conducted in a Phase #1 training container. Firefighter in a controlled environment will be instructed in fire development, flashover, and backdrafts. Education in ventilation, fire attack and safe fire ground operations with be conducted. Knowledge and skill in recognizing flashovers will be taught. Escape methods along with unsafe operations on the fire ground that has led to firefighter injuries and fatalities will be discussed.
