Man vs. Machinery (13MP)

Man vs machinery incidents occur across the world.  They may involve a person stuck in some sort of industrial machinery or be as routine as a ring stuck on a victim's finger. This program will intorduce students to tools and methods that have been proven to be effective in rescuing victims. The pros and cons of various tactics will be discussed and implemented. Students will participate in multiple scenarios including ring removals, swing removals, fence impalements, a hand caught in a meat grinder, person under a vehicle, and industrial machinery entrapments.

PPE: Fire or Tech Rescue gear with gloves, eye pro, steel toe boots and a helmet
