PEPP™ 5th Edition ALS Provider Course for Future Instructors
Build your confidence in pediatric emergency care and take the first step toward helping others do the same. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the PEPP™ 5th Edition ALS Provider Course is designed for EMS clinicians and healthcare professionals who want to strengthen their pediatric emergency care skills and are interested in becoming PEPP instructors and bringing high-quality pediatric education to their communities.
Experience PEPP from the people who created it. This special offering provides a unique opportunity to complete the PEPP 5th Edition ALS Provider Course with the pediatricians and EMS clinicians who helped develop the curriculum. Learn directly from the experts who shaped PEPP’s clinical content, educational strategies, simulations, and hands-on learning experiences, while gaining insights into the thinking behind the course that go beyond the traditional provider experience.
Developed through collaboration between the AAP, pediatric experts, and experienced EMS professionals, PEPP provides a comprehensive approach to caring for infants, children, and youth across the full spectrum of prehospital emergencies. Through adaptive learning, hands-on practice, scenario-based activities, and team-based learning, participants will strengthen the knowledge, comfort, competence, and confidence needed to perform when it matters most.
Participants will experience the PEPP ALS Provider Course as learners while gaining firsthand familiarity with the curriculum and educational approach they may eventually teach. For those who aspire to become PEPP instructors, this is a distinctive opportunity to begin that journey by learning directly from the experts behind PEPP. The PEPP ALS Provider Course serves as the first step on the pathway from PEPP Provider to PEPP Instructor.
Participants will also receive access to the American Academy of Pediatrics' new Neonatal Education for Prehospital Professionals™ (NEPP™) eLearning course. When paired with PEPP, NEPP provides a comprehensive approach to prehospital pediatric and neonatal care, with opportunities for future instructors to further reinforce neonatal concepts by incorporating neonatal simulations into PEPP instructor-led events.
