Urban Rigging and Rescue (03FRIPM)

Friday, April 16

Urban Rigging & Rescue is an advanced hands-on program focused on the application of modern rope rescue systems in complex urban environments.  Utilizing the unique access and challenges presented by Lucas Oil Stadium, students will operate in catwalks, elevated steel structures, restricted access areas, and large-span environments that replicate conditions found in stadiums, arenas, industrial facilities, bridges, and commercial structures.

Participants will build and operate advanced rigging systems, perform rappels from elevated structures, construct horizontal movement systems, and solve realistic rescue problems using equipment and techniques currently employed by both technical rescue teams and professional rope access technicians.  Multiple demonstrations and skill stations will expose students to modern rescue equipment, advanced anchoring concepts, edge management, fall protection systems, and patient movement strategies.
