Wargaming for the Fire Service (31TP)
Good decisions under pressure aren't born, they're trained. And the officers who train them need more than a collection of scenarios. They need the skills to design problems worth solving and the facilitation craft to turn a room full of experienced firefighters into a genuine learning environment.
Wargaming for the Fire Service is a hands-on Train the Trainer workshop focused on the design and delivery of Tactical Decision Games. Participants first experience TDGs from the inside, making decisions under time pressure with realistic scenarios and radio traffic requirements. Then the lens reverses. You learn to build scenarios that generate authentic cognitive pressure, facilitate discussions that surface reasoning rather than evaluate tactics, and use structured peer feedback to accelerate your own development as a facilitator.
Together, we will design, facilitate, and debrief a TDG during the workshop itself. You leave with a working scenario, a facilitation plan, and a deployment assignment executable within a week of returning home.
This workshop is new to FDIC 2027.
