Your Fire Pump . . . The Buildings Fire Pump . . . Are You Ready? (25MP)

Monday, April 12

Join us to flow water with the fire apparatus pump and the buildings fixed facility pump. From a hotel or apartment complex to a high-rise and mega-warehouse, there is a difference. Join us to work through scenarios in modern fire protection. These sessions are held at NFSA’s member, Peerless Pump facilities. Join us there to experience hands-on pump operations with flowing fire sprinklers.

The modern fire environment has changed so much in the past 50 years that fire departments and the fire protection industry struggles to keep up. Improvements in the buildings fire protection systems have struggled to keep pace with the size, contents, and configuration of modern buildings. The volume of unregulated material in our homes and the size and contents of mega-warehouses is making the fire problem in America worse.

The modern fire environment requires bringing the fire service and the fire protection industry together to keep our communities safe. A look at fire data, recent tragic fires, and modern building will show how we need from firefighters, fire officers, fire chiefs, and all stakeholders to understand fire protection features of the building and the role everyone plays before, during, and after a fire. Fire sprinklers and Firefighters are needed to be Partners in Progress.

The overall program will discuss various portions and components of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D, NFPA 13E, NFPA 1620, NFPA 1700.
