Build your own customized learning experience, discover new specialties, and dive deeper into the areas that matter most to you and your department. No matter where you are in your career, the EMS Learning Lanes ensure you get the focused, high quality training you need to deliver exceptional patient care and stay at the forefront of EMS excellence.

EMS Fundamentals

Built on assessment, critical thinking, and clinical basics that never go out of style.

These sessions reinforce the essential foundations of EMS care — patient history, physical assessment, physiology, and scope-appropriate decision-making. Whether BLS or ALS, attendees will sharpen the core skills that drive every clinical decision, especially in environments with limited resources or high call volume.

Trauma & Time-Critical Care

When seconds matter, decisions define outcomes.

This lane focuses on modern trauma care from first contact through definitive treatment. Topics include hemorrhage physiology, penetrating trauma, blood-based resuscitation, crush injury, orthopedic trauma, and high-risk decision-making. Attendees will gain practical, evidence-driven strategies to prioritize interventions that truly move the survival needle.

Resuscitation & Shock

Resuscitation is a system — not a single skill.

These sessions explore the science and systems behind cardiac arrest and shock management, including high-performance CPR, ventilation, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, and ECPR. Expect a data-driven look at how physiology, technology, and team performance intersect to improve survival and neurologic outcomes.

Airway, Breathing & Perfusion

Oxygen delivery is more than a monitor number.

This physiology-forward lane dives into the interaction between ventilation, circulation, and cellular oxygen delivery. Attendees will develop a deeper understanding of respiratory failure, airway decision-making, ultrasound integration, and early recognition of decompensation — allowing them to apply airway and respiratory interventions with intent, not habit.

Pediatrics, OB & High-Risk Populations

Low-frequency calls. High-consequence outcomes.

Focused on pediatric trauma, newborn resuscitation, obstetric emergencies, and maternity care deserts, this lane prepares EMS professionals for the most stressful and time-sensitive patients they encounter. Sessions emphasize readiness, myth-busting, team coordination, and realistic application of national guidelines in resource-limited environments.

High-Threat & Technical Rescue

When the scene itself is the threat.

These sessions prepare providers for unstable, dangerous, and complex incidents — from active threats and CBRNE events to technical rescue and medically directed extrication. Attendees will learn how medical decision-making integrates with tactical operations, rescue techniques, and all-hazards response while maintaining provider and patient survivability.

EMS Education & Workforce

Training that actually changes performance.

Designed for educators, leaders, and system builders, this lane explores adult learning science, simulation design, exam preparation, and workforce development strategies. Sessions focus on how education pipelines, realistic simulation, and strategic recruitment directly impact system resilience and patient outcomes.

Human Performance & Culture

Great medicine requires strong teams.

These sessions examine motivation, values, personality, communication, and survivor-centered response across EMS, fire, law enforcement, and healthcare. Attendees will leave with practical tools to strengthen teams, reduce conflict, enhance resilience, and improve patient-centered outcomes through culture and leadership.
