SLOMO: School of Loaded Movement Presents: Use 8 Firefighter-Specific Loaded Movements to Be More Effective and Efficient on the Fireground

Thursday, April 18
Lucas Oil Stadium, Drill Yard, Booth 9522
In this hands-on and interactive session, you will first learn about the Loaded Movements required to efficiently and effectively execute skills on the fireground. Then you will learn how to implement a program to teach these movements yourself, at your school, station, or recruit academy, consistently and sustainably, using your own instructors and officers. A decade in the making, this turnkey program with ongoing weekly support from its creators, designed for Departments anywhere in the world, is the first of its kind. We tested the program over an 18 month period in 2022-2023 in collaboration with the Houston Fire Department. The multidisciplinary team that designed this program includes Derek Alkonis, Former Battalion Chief Los Angeles County Wildland; Captain Michael Brown, Houston Fire Training Academy; Bennie Wylie, CSCS, Director of Sports Performance for the University of Southern California; and Sarah Apgar, Founder of the School of Loaded Movement. We look forward to working together!
