CRACKYL, FDIC International Partner for Better Firefighter Wellness Education

CRACKYL, FDIC International Partner for Better Firefighter Wellness Education

The two fire service platforms will collaborate on projects that teach firefighters how to improve their health and wellness.

In an effort to reach more firefighters with critical information to help them live better lives, CRACKYL Media and the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International will collaborate on a few upcoming projects and special events. While more details will be released as the event draws closer, the partnership will take place in conjunction with the upcoming FDIC International, April 15-20 in Indianapolis, IN, where CRACKYL Media will be the official media sponsor of the Health & Wellness area inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

New to FDIC in 2024 the Health & Wellness area will be a part of the larger Lucas Oil Stadium Experience that includes ten carefully planned activations designed to enhance skills and equip attendees for the future. The focus of the Health & Wellness area will foster functional fitness, offer mental health support resources, and promote prevention education and awareness.

“Partnerships like this, where two entities can collaborate to benefit the well-being of firefighters mutually, are very exciting,” says Kory Pearn, CRACKYL Magazine’s creator and publisher. “We feel privileged and honored to work closely with David Rhodes and the FDIC team to provide a new experience for those attending the FDIC this year in the area of firefighter health and wellness.”

David Rhodes — the editor in chief of Fire Engineering and the educational director for FDIC International — agreed. “Our primary concern is ensuring firefighters and EMS professionals are at their best on and off the job. In a time where vital discussions about health and wellness dominate the fire and rescue industry, we are proud to not only provide education through our conference program and media outlets but also a dedicated space within the Lucas Oil Stadium Experience at FDIC this year. Kory Pearn has been a driving force in raising awareness and facilitating critical conversations on these crucial topics. By partnering with CRACKYL, we aim to build awareness and extend support to those who need it,” said Rhodes.

Rhodes and Pearn both say they are eager to pursue areas where teaming up serves everyone’s best interest.
