FDIC International Names Firefighter Cancer Support Network as 2026 Clarion Cares Recipient

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — April 25, 2026 — FDIC International, North America’s leading event for the fire and rescue service, today announced the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) as the 2026 recipient of the Clarion Cares initiative.

Clarion Cares, a charitable program started by Clarion Events, Inc., supports nonprofit organizations that embody the company’s key values of care, respect, service, compassion, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. With this initiative, FDIC International goes beyond just hosting the event by collaborating with organizations that positively impact the communities it serves.

The Firefighter Cancer Support Network is a nationally recognized nonprofit focused on helping firefighters, EMS professionals, and their families navigate the challenges of cancer. The organization plays a critical role in raising awareness of occupational cancer risks, delivering prevention education, and providing one-on-one support for those diagnosed.

“Cancer continues to be one of the biggest threats to today’s fire service,” said David Rhodes, Vice President of Education at FDIC. “The efforts of FCSN to support firefighters and their families are essential and closely aligned with the mission of FDIC International. We are proud to support their initiatives and help increase awareness.”

As part of the 2026 initiative, FDIC International will allocate $5,000 to aid FCSN’s ongoing programs, enhancing access to education, resources, and direct support services nationwide.

“We are so grateful for the continued support from FDIC International. This gracious donation through the Clarion Cares initiative will enable FCSN to continue our efforts of supporting and educating the fire service,” said Mike Wisco, Chairman of Firefighter Cancer Support Network.

FDIC International has long been committed to serving the fire and rescue community not only through world-class training, education, and connection but also by giving back to those who tirelessly serve.
