Carolyn Gates has been a paramedic in San Diego for more than 32 years and is the clinical coordinator for the San Diego (CA) Fire Department Paramedic Program. She is a primary instructor for EMSTA College and recently retired after 20 years as a flight medic with Mercy Air. She has worked for JEMS for 17 years.
