David Hesselmeyer started in emergency services in 1997. He is certified as a Firefighter Level II, Rescue Technician, Haz Mat Level I Responder, EMT-Paramedic, and Certified Emergency Manager. He also attended Campbell University (BA, 2002) and East Carolina University (MPA, 2004). He teaches at state and local fire and EMS conferences and writes for Fire Engineering. He is CEO of On Target Preparedness.
