JAMES K. CRAWFORD is currently Assistant Fire Chief for Midway Fire Rescue, Pawleys Island, SC. He retired as Assistant Fire Chief of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire in 2010 with 20 years of service. He is the past Deputy Chief of training for Pennsylvania USAR Strike Team 1. He retired from the US Air Force as a Deputy Fire Chief after 23 years of service and has 47 years of experience in the career and volunteer fire service. Chief Crawford instructs nationally on the subject of firefighter rescue operations and holds several national fire service certifications.
