Jarred Alden is a lieutenant in the Akron (OH) Fire Department. He has 20-plus years of experience as a firefighter and 18-plus years as a paramedic. He is also a member of the Akron Police Department SWAT team's Tactical Medic Program. He also functioned as an arson investigator for the AFD Investigative Unit. He has a master of arts in behavioral sciences.
