Deputy Fire Chief , Bethesda-Chevy Chase (MD) Rescue Squad

Keith Stakes is a member of the Fire Safety Research Institute, a part of UL Research Institutes. As a Research Engineer, he studies the effectiveness of fire service tactics as well as advances in firefighter safety and fireground operations. He has both a Bachelor of Science Degree as well as a Masters of Engineering Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland. Keith serves with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad in Bethesda, Maryland where he currently holds the rank of Deputy Fire Chief. Keith serves on the NFPA Technical Committee for Fire Service Training and the Editorial Advisory Board for FireRescue1 and Fire Chief magazine.
