Leigh Shapiro is a deputy chief/senior tour commander (ret.) from the Hartford (CT) Fire Department and served 28 years. He has multiple degrees/certifications; is an adjunct professor for University of New Haven’s Fire Science Program, Gateway Community College’s Fire Technology Program, and State of Connecticut’s Fire Investigator Program; is a member of NFPA 1710; is a contributor to Jones/Bartlett textbooks; and is a senior advisor for Capital City Industries.
