Assistant Chief Michael V. Meyers is an FDNY veteran of 33 years and currently serving as Chief of Training, for both Fire and EMS Operations and the head of the Department’s IMS Team. He has previously held the rank as Chief of Safety, Department Liaison to the Office of Emergency Management. He began his career as a firefighter in Ladder 175, later at Rescue 4. As an officer he served as a Lieutenant in Ladder 11, Captain in Ladder 4, and 9th Battalion Chief before his promotion to Deputy Chief in Safety. Chief Meyers holds a BA Degree in Accounting, an MA degree in Public Administration and attended the Executive Leadership Class at Naval Post Graduate School, and the USMA West Point Terrorism Class.
