Stephen Florian, a 29-year veteran of the fire service, has served the past 21 years with the Detroit (MI) Fire Department, where he is a sergeant. Prior to that, he served four years with the Gary (IN) Fire Department and two tears each with the Highland Park (MI) and Taylor (MI) Fire Departments. He has a associate’s degree in fire science from Ivy Tech State College of Indiana and a bachelor’s degree in public safety from Siena Heights University.
