FDIC International & RedLine are driving a movement to support firefighter health through on-site gear decon offered exclusively to H.O.T. (Hands-on Training) participants. This initiative ensures turnout gear is professionally cleaned & securely stored, keeping contaminated PPE out of hotel rooms & reducing exposure to harmful carcinogens.
In 2025, RedLine Gear Cleaning processed more than 800 sets of turnout gear using Mobile Extraction Units® during live fire training, reinforcing the growing need for accessible decontamination resources. In 2026, the initiative expands, furthering our collective effort to confront occupational cancer in the fire service.
