NEW this year, we're excited to offer two 8-hour workshops on Tuesday, April 16 hosted by Impact EMS Training (formerly IA MED), during which you can earn CEUs:
K9 Emergency Care - this workshop is for EMS professionals working closely with Operational K9s that want to increase their medical knowledge if one of them were to require emergency care.
Pre-Flight Medical Provider - this workshop is for medical providers that aspire to pass the FP-C®, CFRN®, CTRN®, or CCP-C® exams, learn the core concepts of critical care, and more!
Best part? After completing the Pre-Flight Medical Provider workshop, you can sign up to take the Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) examination the next day!
NEW this year, FDIC will be a testing site for the Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) Examination administered by the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC). The IBSC provides a family of specialty certification exams that are an objective, fair, and honest validation of a unique domain of knowledge in order to improve the quality of the care delivered by paramedics and other healthcare professionals. You must sign up for your testing spot with the IBSC. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 10th. Please contact help@IBSC.org with any questions.

This immersive experience in Lucas Oil Stadium is at the core of FDIC's critical mission 'to train' fire and EMS professionals worldwide. The experience is broken out into activations, carefully designed to deconstruct live-action scenarios to enhance firefighter and EMS professionals' skills and prepare them for the future. Stop by the EMS Evolutions Lab for scenario-based EMS training, simulations and the JEMS Clinical Competition.
JEMS CLINICAL COMPETITION
The JEMS Clinical Competition is a challenging and educational clinical competition highlighting cutting-edge simulation technology. We welcome BLS or ALS providers to put their skills to the test! Teams can be all-ALS, all-BLS, or a mix of both.
The preliminary competition challenges teams to appropriately assess and provide quality, efficient patient care during these realistic, high-pressure scenarios.
Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary, “Honorable but Broken”, on Wednesday, April 17, 6:00 PM ET, with a panel discussion to follow.
Honorable but Broken is a gritty tribute to the EMS professionals who come to our aid in our worst moments. Although they respond to all medical emergencies and provide a myriad of other transport services, from nursing homes to hospitals, for example, EMS are only reimbursed if they transport patients to a hospital. They are underpaid, underappreciated and largely non-unionized. Coupled with tremendous physical and psychological trauma inherent to the job, poverty wages have triggered a crippling workforce shortage. This, in turn, affects treatment and could have life or death consequences for patients.
CADAVER LABS
The Cadaver Labs provide a unique opportunity to review relevant anatomy associated with critical care and lifesaving emergency procedures. Participants will enhance their understanding of the various procedures and the associated risks and benefits through the hands on practicum.
